It's the weekend and my Dallas Stars are winning their opening tilt 
against the Nashville Predators. With college football over and baseball 
not yet begun, I excited that the NHL is back in business for another 
season.  The Stars have unfinished business after finishing in second 
place in the Edmonton Bubble last year.  Keeping fingers crossed for an 
exciting season.

Tax Season Late Start

IRS announced that it will start accepting individual income tax returns 
by e-filing on February 12, 2021. This is a good two weeks later than 
usual.  The delay is a result of IRS's need to reprogram some forms and 
test their systems after Congress passed changes to the tax law on 
December 27 that included additional economic stimulus payments and other 
benefits.  I've been a practioner over 35 years, and many times I have 
thought I would like to have more time to file returns.  Last year, showed 
me what a bad idea that was. I hope we stick to the April 15 deadline this 
year.
