"The Simpsons" taught me life. I've met several people who don't like it. "It's a stupid show". Sure, whatever. All shows are stupid, honestly. Tell you what though, I'd rather watch The Simpsons over redneck duck hunters or Armenian whores any day. Anyway, I learned a lot about social interactions, current events, and society in general (not just the US) over the years by watching this cartoon. It isn't always funny of course, but it doesn't have to be. It often makes the viewer think. That's probably the biggest thing. Entire networks are dedicated to turning humans into potatoes; they *discourage* thinking. I just watched another two episodes. It's really no surprise that it lasted for so many years. It's a better parent than my parents and frankly better than most other parents I have ever met. [Three Good Things] + made good chamomile tea (brand is Davidson's, bought from Amazon, turned out pretty good) + finished work early + watched a decent cartoon and laughed a bit
