The professor went easy on us and didn't ask very hard questions, so that was good. We had submitted a paper several months ago and just got the reviews back. Overall, they weren't that bad but they weren't very positive either. We've got a week to write a rebuttal and try again to see if our paper will get accepted, which means the next 5 days will be a race to read a lot of papers and see how they compare to ours. I'm worried that this will take a lot of time and energy away from me, leaving me tired for a long time (again). Rather than push myself too hard, I think I'll try to practice better time management techniques this week. I don't exactly know what that will entail yet. Some friends and I are having a game night with friends this weekend which should be fun. I'm also thinking of having a late cinco de mayo celebration (aka Mexican food, margaritas, and games), but we keep having to push the date back. First it was Sunday, then Monday, then Wednesday, and now we're looking at Thursday. I'm not sure what dish I'll cook for that yet. Maybe just some basic tacos or nachos. Tonight, it's looking like pizza with my fiance's sister at Mellow Mushroom. Yum. __:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:__ For lunch, I made some good comfort food that Elvis would be proud of. Recipe: Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich (double decker) In a small cast iron pan, cook 5 4-inch pieces of bacon and save the bacon grease in another bowl. Prepare the sandwich with 3 slices of bread, 2 with peanut button on them, and with a whole banana sliced and put against the peanut butter sides. Add the sandwich to a pan and let cook on low for 3-4 minutes, with another small pan acting as the lid to keep heat in. Remove the sandwich, add some of the bacon grease, and then put the sandwich back in (flipped over). Let cook another 2-3 minutes with a lid on and turn the stove eye off halfway through. Transfer to a plate, cut in half, and enjoy with a glass of milk. (Also, make a grilled cheese for the fiance with the rest of the bacon grease) __:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:__
