This is fine because it means I can get a bit of work done. I'm in this weird in-between state. On the one hand, work has me a little overwhelmed. I've got a lot of responsibilities for projects and no desire to see them through. In the past, I was able to get around this by offloading some work to another coworker. Then, once the work was collaborative, I'd feel more comfortable working again. When it's just me, well, it's just me. If a feature isn't there, it's *my* fault. When a bug is there, it's *still my fault*. At the same time, though, I feel bored by my work because I'm in this state of paralysis with it. I want to work on some things and be productive, but I can't. I'm not sure what the best way to get out of this funk is. I've always been a proponent of "fail forward" -- even when I'm not getting good work done, as long as I'm doing something, it's fine. Typically for me, this means working on interesting web projects (my area of work) and at least getting some experience with new technology. The trouble is that all of these projects end up being multi-day-long tasks. It's never just "let me spend a few hours and do this," it becomes "well, I almost finished today, but I'll definitely finish tomorrow" for almost a week. [({_________________________________________________________________})] In other news, I recently got an account on cmccabe's rawtext.club [0]. I'm not sure exactly what I'll end up doing, but I hope to get some collaborative things made. Maybe collaborative text editing, a collective self-organized wiki (like the C2 wiki), or something else.
