2020-01-20 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Full employment is poison to the elites because they will lose their bargaining power over the masses. In exactly the same way an informed public is poison to the elites for they will lose the handle with which to use the public as a ram. This is something that may have always been there in some form (at least since the invention of the printing press) but now it is very much there. What it means in practical terms is that some people are doing their best to keep us confused about what is happening so that when they want to push through some grand change in society, they will be able to do it by adjusting the level of credibility of one side compared to the other. You can see it like this: There is this chaotic mass of opinions buzzing around quite randomly. If the societal truth making and truth checking was working as you might hope as an individual, there would be islands of opinions and not so many strays. It would be easier to find out what is actually happening. But these islands would have a mass and inertia. They would not budge for the next election cycle. Only the confused ones will. Here's my definite proof for the case: Consider Wikipedia. If you take a random wikipedia article and compare it to a random news story, which one is more informative? The news people have lost their professional ethics and it is up to hobbyists to try to help people make sense. I am not sure if I should call this a conspiracy since there are so many elites who benefit from this that it might just be a natural alignment from all parties necessary to keep us mixed up. ------------------------------------------------------------------
