	Praise and frustration!
	No matter how I may criticize the media
	I have to point out something. 

I have not paid attention to basically anything written in my own
language in something like 20 years. This is a choice I don't
even remember making consciously at any point. I suppose it was
just because internet happened in English at first.

So, now during the virus outbreak I have been looking at the
news circulated in my country and I am finding it quite hard to
maintain my peace of mind. It may be that American media is shit
in the way it pushes things out of proportion, but what I find
horrible in my nation's news offerings is the lack of imagination.

The American sources I follow are several steps ahead of what
might happen, while in my country the story is basically just the
facts as they have been confirmed.

I think that this decade might turn out to be the time when the
decline of the US becomes apparent to all. I hope that the
American way of thinking and communicating remains vibrant.
I don't see Europeans having the mentality or the critical mass
for this sort of speculative thought.

In case American Thought dies the only hope I see is Australia.
