2022-10-23 ------------------------------------------------------------------ During the past weeks I have had a line clonking around in my mind. It went something like: "When a person comes to start counting their time from the end backwards, their perspective on the world changes dramatically". I don't know where I heard this, one of my podcasts I am sure. It seems to resonate. I guess after my burnout a few years back I started seeing more hard limits to my existance. Up to that point my life had been either trying to get forward or waiting for opportunities to get forward. So, I saw where I was coming from and pushing from it towards better things. But as it lacked the appreciation of limits in some profound way, there were no real risks. There were more options always ahead of me. After seeing some of the hard limits, life has become more an effort to preserve something. I am more aware of the things I possess and not so keen to go after the things I don't have. I care more about my health. I work towards letting go of extra baggage. I think people would do well for themselves to consider that the marketing is always focused on the young. That is why there is the all-pervasive mentality of pushing forward. The challenge is, how to find the others? I am almost thinking that if I don't find a way to somehow "advertise" this in real life, there is no chance of finding them. ------------------------------------------------------------------
