BAKED BEANS -Edith Thomson In a large bean pot or crock pot put 2 pounds of Great Northern or Navy Beans, washed. Add: 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup molasses 1 tbsp salt 2 tbls prepared mustard Add twice over night and 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp maple flavoring 1 thinly sliced onion 1/4 pound bacon cut in pieces as much water as beans and cover. Bake in 250°-275°oven until ready to eat the next day. Do not stir but do keep enough water on them to keep the top beans from drying out. These can be done in a crock pot or electric bean pot. I don't think they are quite as good done in a crock pot. We like them served with worcestershire sauce and catsup to taste. Also lots of fresh hot rolls and a tossed salad.
