Fort Casey is located on the westside of Coupeville on whidbey island. The fort faces west into the Admiratly Inlet. The fort was in operation form about 1890 to the end of WWII at which time the determination was that land based defense was worthless. We spent about 5 hours exploring the main base area and walking some to the south end of the base. There were three other areas that we did not get to.
