Catch up phlog post: 31 May, 2023

I've been lazy about phlogging the last few weeks, so here's
a grab bag of items (no cycling or electronics, those did
actually get separate posts). 

The long weekend was (as is usual for me) a busy one around
the house. I spent part of Friday night ripping CDs from the
collection so I can do some more openmic spots on anonradio,
but the only machine in the house with an optical drive is
our old HP laptop, which was so sluggish we mothballed it.
It was as bad as I remembered Friday night, but overnight it
updated itself to Win 10 2H22 and rebooted, and it was
significantly faster when I finished the project Saturday
morning. 

I had most of Saturday to myself (girls at camp, son at a
friend's house), so I finished spreading the mulch we bought
for the gardens (over 60 bags' worth). I also dug up and
diagnosed a broken irrigation line for the lawn, which will
need more skill than I possess to repair it. 

I wrapped Saturday by swapping out the kitchen faucet with a
hand from my son (back home at this point). The old one was
starting to seep and had signs of corrosion, so away it went
before it could wreak havoc upon the kitchen. 

Sunday was lazier: the NYT crossword, some light gaming, and
a movie with my son and his friend (Guardians of the Galaxy
3). 

Monday the girls returned from camp, where it had been rainy
and muddy all weekend. I spent most of the day cleaning,
drying, and re-packing the gear, along with the requisite
laundry. 

With that, the weekend was over, and I was still tired :-)
