       Games... | |

Much of my childhood memories involve playing
games on an apple IIgs my parents bought me. Below
is a collection of some of these games. All work
on a win 32 system. Most work best in DOS Box.

       Tunnels of Armageddon

This game was the time vampire of my youth. Tunnels
of Armageddon is a computer game involving racing and
shooting while avoiding obstacles. The game features
pseudo-3D graphics. Gameplay involves piloting a
futuristic spacecraft through a series of tunnels to
a destination within a certain time limit. Colliding
into obstructions depletes a limited amount of shields
given. The game is Sci-Fi in theme. The rather simple
plot amounted to traversing deeper into tunnels to save
Earth from evil aliens. The game is great for young
kids as it is all mouse driven.

       Maniac Mansion

This game is as fun today as it was when i first played it.
You cant go wrong by trying it out. Maniac Mansion is a
1987 graphic adventure game developed and published by Lucasfilm
Games. Initially released for the Commodore 64 and Apple II,
it was Lucasfilm's foray into video game publishing. The game
follows teenager Dave Miller as he ventures into a mansion
and attempts to rescue his girlfriend from an evil mad scientist,
whose family has been controlled by a sentient meteor that
crashed near the mansion 20 years earlier. The player uses a
point-and-click interface to guide Dave and two of his friends
through the mansion while avoiding its dangerous inhabitants
       and solving puzzles.
