__ ___ ___ ___ ___/ /__ _ / _ `/ _ \/ _ `/ _ / _ `/ \_,_/_//_/\_,_/\_,_/\_,_/ These files are from the text e-zine Another Day and Night Alliance (ANADA), which I stumbled onto while wandering around textfiles.com. ANADA the e-zine ran from 2000-2004. I authored four text files for ANADA: (TXT) #409: "What Were You Asking?" (2001) (TXT) #430: "Restless" (2001) (TXT) #510: "Untitled" (2002) (TXT) #524: "Checking out" (2003) The original issues of ANADA are, surprisingly, all still online: (HTM) ANADA I wasn't nearly as active or involved as many of the other authors. I didn't create ANADA. I saw enough in what the other authors had to say, that I found a voice that I didn't know I had and surprisingly found a few listeners. I'm not sure I ever even completed my bio enough for Gloomchen to post it, although I remember participating in the anada.net forums. ANADA, and the text scene, predates social media. All of it. Friendster, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WordPress, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, Android, the iPhone, emoji-- all of these came later. ASCII knows nothing, adds nothing, subtracts nothing. ASCII is words, thoughts, descriptions, meaning, explanation. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but how many picures do you scroll by every day without giving them a second (or even first) thought?
