-------------------------------------------- Gopher, time, life 2018.01.26 20:17:27 CET -------------------------------------------- Today I had my last German conversation class. About six months ago, I started taking German classes, because I had forgotten most of what I learned during my youth and not speaking the local language was getting in the way of many tasks. Now with my older son starting kindergarten the demand to speak German with the teacher and other parents will only increase. During our class today we talked about an interview published by Deutschlandfunk with Richard Precht [1], during which he talks about the future of work and employment, as well as the digital revolution. At the end of the talk I had the opportunity to introduce Margareth to the gopherspace - showing around how this works and explaining why the experience of consuming content over gopher pleases me a lot more than on the web. So welcome Margareth! After gopher, we had a philosophical discussion about what is time and ended up talking about what does it mean to be alive. A very good conversation to end these six months.
