The ideas of 'Wiki' may seem strange at first, especially to a first-time user of 'Wiki', but dive in and explore its links. 'Wiki' is a composition system; it's a discussion medium; it's a repository; it's a mail system; it's a tool; we don't know quite what it is, but it's a fun way of communicating asynchronously across the network while dynamically sharing your ideas.

The name 'Wiki' may seem strange too - what does it mean? The WikiWikiWebFaq answers this and other questions, but the short answer is that Wiki Wiki is Hawaiian for 'quick'.

Start by visiting WelcomeVisitors. It tells what we are doing, how to get around, and how you get involved.

Ready to add to the WikiWikiWeb?
* Read the NewUserPages to learn how to use the WikiWikiWeb and to learn about its conventions.

Edit a page by clicking the EditText link at the bottom of the page you want to edit.

The TextFormattingRules are very simple, and the NewUserPages will help you learn to apply them gracefully. You'll probably want to start by enlarging or editing 'Wiki' pages that already exist. The WikiWikiSandbox is set aside for practising with the editor - go there now and try it out. Once you've made a few trial updates there, you'll be ready to participate in discussions on the 'Wiki', and before you know it, you'll be AddingNewPages.
