# Sumo Calendar 2022 This year I ordered my Sumo Calendar in time, so I received it today. It took 19 days for it to get here. Yesterday by chance I saw the DHL delivery van arrive in front of our house and expected to get the parcel right away. Instead the van just drove away. I then checked the mailbox and there was a notification in there that my package could not be delivered. WTF?? My wife just came around the corner and as she still wore her winter jacket she chased down the van - a bit over exaggerated as it parked only two houses away - and asked why we only got a notification. As it turned out the customs rules have changed on July 1, 2021. Before that you had to pay VAT for internet orders from a non-EU country if the value of the goods was below 150 EUR, but no customs. Additionally if the VAT was below 22 EUR it was duty free. Now this rule has been abolished, so I had to pay 21.52 EUR VAT which I could only do today in a DHL shop as the courier is not allowed to take money in this case. In addition the package did not land in the nearest post office, but the next one that is approx. 2x farther away. We had our daily stroll for today. ----- Yesterday we found some low carb bread and even some cookies on a display in the supermarket. It would be great if I did not have to bake my own every other day.
