# Warm New Year

Happy New Year!

New Year's Eve was unusually warm, we watched the fireworks from our
balcony, my brother wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Even at midnight we
had around 12 ˚C. Now the thermometer on the balcony displays 15 ˚C.

Seemed like everyone had leftover rockets from the previous two years
when fireworks were not permitted. Fireworks started at around 6
o'clock in the afternoon and intensified at around midnight continuing
till maybe 2 a.m. this morning. We've never before experienced it this
intense and long.

    The finest rockets ever seen:
    they burst in stars of blue and green,
    or after thunder golden showers
    came falling like a rain of flowers.

New year's resolutions? I'm already 81 kg (down from 105), what else 
should be my goal in 2023? :)
