Extension for Windows 98SE/Me that allows you to run some
of the applications for Windows XP/2000/NT/7. In some cases
it is useful if you need to continue working in Windows 98, but
with programs for Windows XP. For example, a similar case
happened with a spectrograph. The updated version of the
spectrograph client did not work on Windows 98, so we had
to use this extension. As you know, in many cases there

Patches for Windows 2000 SP4 to run Windows XP/7
applications in this operating system. A detailed summary
of my experience.
This software by Pink Flying Whale/BlackWingCa make
Installer identify Windows XP and execute some software
or Rewrite MSI for Windows2000. And this soft has stronger
option to program to be recognized WinXP or Win Me,
and so on. You can use alose Stronger and stronger Version
Emulation with add-on KnownDllsWrapper. But you need
kernel32.dll wrapper 5.01.2599.0006 upper.

After installing KernelEX for Windows 2000, be sure install
the unofficial Service Pack 5.1 for this operating system.
