Some more testing re --local

Just checking to make sure that the --local option does work. And, it appears to do so.

I am working on my git guide and am testing out the change of editor process.
I did nano and then unset it to set ed.
So, I added wait...let us see.
Adding wait caused some troubles...let me see if this works now (tried it again).
Nano seems to be working fine as the new editor. However, this is another test.
