---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Spanish Anise Sticks Categories: Cookies Yield: 36 servings 2 c All-purpose flour 1 ts Baking powder 1/4 ts Salt 3/4 c Sugar 1/4 c Shortening 2 Eggs; well beaten 2 dr Anise oil Heat oven to 375. Blend dry ingredients; cut in shortening until particles are like large peas. Stir in eggs and anise oil. Mix thoroughly with hands. Using 1/2 dough at a time roll 1/4" thick on lightly floured board. Cut in sticks 4x1/2". Place on ungreased baking sheet about 1/2" apart. Brush with soft or melted butter or margarine.
