Beat in cinnamon and salt. Add syrup and honey, then eggs, one at a time. Stir in oats. Pour in shell and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, or until center tests done. During baking the oatmeal rises and forms a chewy, nutty crust on the top of the pie. This is a very good pie recipe I got from Women's Circle Cooking With Taste. It does fall into the realm of inexpensive recipes. It's very good...ends up something like a mock pecan pie...the oatmeal rises to the top and forms a chewy crust without the sometimes exorbitant cost of pecans. JM -----
