---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: COOKIE'S CARAMEL CORN Categories: Kids, Candies Yield: 1 Servings -XDXH99A Lorna Brown 5 qt Popped corn 2 c Light brown sugar 1/2 c White corn syrup 1 c Margarine 1 ts -salt 1 ts Vanilla 1/2 ts Baking soda In a saucepan, mix brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine, and salt and bring to boil. Boil for five minutes. Turn off heat and add vanilla and soda. Stir into 5 quarts of popped corn and mix well. Bake in roasting pan at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to keep it from sticking and burning on the bottom. Pam cooking spray used on the pan will keep it from sticking too much. When it is done baking, I turn out onto brown paper (i.e. a grocery bag opened up and placed inside up onto countertop. Let cool. *I also have added some unsalted, dry-roasted peanuts (can be any kind of nuts) from time to time. -----
