---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: MAPLE BRITTLE Categories: Candies Yield: 1 Servings -------------------------------THE CANDY BOOK------------------------------- 3 c Maple sugar 1 c Cold water 1 c Molasses 1 tb Maple syrup pn Cream of tartar 1/2 c Butter 2 ts Baking soda 1 tb Boiling water 1 ts Lemon extract 1 c Brazil-nut meats Cook the sugar, water, malasses, syrup and cream of tartar to 300 F, or to the hard-crack stage. Add the butter, boil for 4 minutes, then remove from heat. Add the soda dissolved in boiling water and the lemon extract.
