                              SUGARED PECANS

   4      cups          pecan halves
   1      cup           sugar
   1      dash          salt
   2                    egg whites -- stiffly beaten
     1/2  cup           margarine

Fold sugar and salt into stiffly beaten egg whites. Fold in pecans. Melt margar
ine in a 9 x 12-inch pan, then spread in the nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 m
inutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
