* Exported from MasterCook * Cherry Dessert Recipe By : Iris Dunaway Serving Size : 24 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups flour 2 sticks margarine -- softened 3 tablespoons sugar 1/3 cup nuts -- chopped 1 8 oz pkg. cream cheese -- softened 1 cup powdered sugar 1 6 oz Cool Whip 3 cups milk 1 large pkg instant vanilla pudding 1 quart sweetened pie cherries 1 6 oz Cool Whip 1/3 cup nuts Combine the first 4 ingredients and blend as in pie dough. Press the dough in bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake until light brown at 350 F for approximately 10 minutes. Cool. Cream the next 3 ingredients (cream cheese powdered sugar and Cool Whip) in food processor or with hand mixer. Spread this mixture on top of crust. Combine the milk and instant pudding and beat until thick. Add on top of cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Spread the pie cherries on top of pudding mixture. Add last 6 ounces of Cool Whip and sprinkle on the last 1/3 cup nuts. Keep refrigerated. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
