Rinse and drain beans, cover with fresh water and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Rinse and drain again. Whisk together molasses, sugar, mustard, cayenne, and bakon yeast in a bowl, then mix with the beans. Add onions, bay leaves, garlic, and pepper. Place in 2-qt baking dish and add water to cover. Cover and bake until the beans are very soft, 7-8 hours. Check occasionally and add more water if necessary to keep beans from drying out.
