                          ROOT BEER BAKED BEANS

   2                    Strips bacon, diced
   1       sm           Onion, diced
  36       oz           Baked beans
     1/2   c            Root beer (do not use diet)
     1/4   c            Barbecue sauce
     1/2   ts           Dry mustard
   3       dr           Hot pepper sauce
                        Freshly ground pepper

  1. Cook bacon with onion in a medium saucepan until bacon is brown and
  crisp.
  2. Add remaining ingredients. Heat to a boil; reduce heat and simmer,
  stirring often, until slightly thickened, 20 minutes.
