* Exported from MasterCook * Green Beans With Tomatoes Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Tomatoes Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 Lb. red ripe tomatoes -- cores removed 3/4 Lb. fresh green beans -- trimmed 3 Tbsp. olive oil 2 Tsp. finely minced garlic salt to taste fresh ground pepper to taste 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh basil Rinse the tomatoes; cut the tomatoes crosswise in half. Press away the seed with fingers. Cut tomatoes into 1/4-inch cubes. There should be 1 cup. Bring water to boil in the bottom of a steamer rack and place tomatoes over the boiling water. Cover tightly and steam 10 minutes or until tender. Heat the oil in saucepan and add the garlic. Cook briefly without browning; add tomatoes, salt and pepper, stirring. Cook about 30 seconds.
