* Exported from MasterCook * HASHBROWNS Recipe By : GINA Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Potatoes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 5 pounds potatoes 1 dozen eggs 1 large onion 2 large green bell peppers 1 kielbasa or polish sausage Boil potatoes until tender, cool, peel and grate on a cheese grater or in the food processor. Boil eggs until done, cool, peel and grate. Chop onion and peppers. Cut kielbasa or sausage into bite size pieces. Mix everything together in a bowl. Line the bottom of a 5 quart ice cream pail or other similar container, with wax paper. Spread out the amount needed for one breakfast on wax paper, top with another sheet of wax paper, continue to layer until done. This is best if set into the freezer and allowed to freeze most of the way, then taken out, separate the layers and then put it back into the bucket, put the lid on it and freeze. To cook. Remove one layer, place on non-stick griddle, or in skillet. Cook on low with a lid over it for about 20 minutes, then turn burner up to brown.
