* Exported from MasterCook * Roasted Pasilla Chili strips w/ Panela & Crema Agria Recipe By : Cacique USA Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 12 ounces Cacique Brand Panela cheese -- cubed 1/2 cup Cacique Brand Crema Mexicana Agria 10 Pasilla chilies -- roasted and peeled 2 onions -- thinly sliced 1 cup cilantro -- chopped 2 tomatoes -- chopped salt and pepper -- to taste 1 tablespoon oil 2 tablespoons garlic -- minced Char the skins of the Pasilla chilies over an open flame. Place in a plastic grocery bag to steam. Peel skins off under running water. Open peppers and seed and vein them. Cut in 1/4" strips. Put the onion, the strips of chili and the garlic in oil. Add tomatoes, cilantro, Crema Agria, and the crumbled Panela. Heat slowly. Great side dish to grilled chicken or fish. Delicious in a soft tortilla taco. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
