MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Buttermilk Waffles Categories: Waffles Yield: 10 Waffles MMMMM--------------------------WAFFLES------------------------------- 3 Eggs 3/4 ts Salt 2 1/4 c Buttermilk 3 c Flour 3/4 c Vegetable oil 2 ts Baking powder 4 ts Sugar 1 ts Soda MMMMM---------------------------SYRUP-------------------------------- 2 c Sugar 1/4 ts Maple flavoring 1/2 c Brown sugar 1 1/4 c Water Waffles: Heat waffle iron. In a large bowl, beat eggs until fluffy. Beat in buttermilk, oil, sugar and salt. Sift the remaining ingredients together into a medium bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture in the large bowl and gently stir just until smooth. When waffle iron is hot, pour in 1/2 cup batter and close lid. Remove waffle as soon as done and immediately pour in more batter. Serve with butter and syrup, or top with fresh fruit and powdered sugar. These freeze well. Wrap any leftover waffles in wax paper and store in freezer bags in the freezer. Syrup: Put all ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
