* Exported from MasterCook * California Tamale Pie Recipe By : Sizzling mexican Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Casseroles Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3/4 Pound ground beef 2 1/2 Cups milk 1 Cup yellow cornmeal 2 egg -- beaten 1 Package Spices & seasonings for Chili 1 Teaspoon garlic salt 1 14 1/2 Ounce tomatoes -- cut up 1 8 Ounces who kernel corn, drained 2 1/4 Ounces ripe olives, drained -- sliced 1 1/2 Cups Cheddar cheese -- shredded 2 Tablespoons yellow cornmeal In med. skillet, brown ground beef; drain. In med. bowl, combine milk, 1 cup cornmeal and eggs; blend well. Add ground beef and remaining ingredients except cheese and 2 Tbls. cornmeal; stir to mix. Pour into 12x8" lightly greased baking dish. Bake in 350F oven 35-40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and 2 Tbls. cornmeal; continue baking until cheese melts.
