* Exported from MasterCook * Vidalia Onion Pie Recipe By : Kit Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Side Dishes Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 medium Vidalia onions -- thinly sliced 4 tablespoons butter 3 eggs -- beaten 1 cup sour cream salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce 1 9-inch deep dish pie shell 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Saute onions in butter until soft. Combine eggs and sour cream in a large bowl. Add onions and butter. Season with salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 450F for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 325F and bake 20 minutes more or until set. Note: Watch carefully the last 20 minutes. I've never had to bake it the entire 40 minutes. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
