---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Aunt Lucille Wanderer's Tamale Pie Categories: Main, Dish Yield: 1 servings ---------------------------------TAMALE PIE--------------------------------- 1 c Corn meal 1 c Milk 1 cn Whole kernel corn (16 oz) 1 lb Lean ground beef 1 cn Diced tomatoes (16 oz) 2 tb Chili powder 1 ts Salt 1/2 c Butter or margarine, melted 2 Eggs--beaten -----------------------------------SAUCE----------------------------------- 1 cn Tomato soup 1/4 c Butter or margarine, melted 1 tb Chili powder Tamale Pie Stir ingredients together in the order given above. Pour into large casserole dish or 9x13" pan. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for approximately 1 hour or until solid, dry and golden brown. Sauce Blend ingredients together with a wire whisk. Serve with sauce over top of individual servings. OPTIONS: Can be cooked in a microwave on high for approximately 20 minutes. One half of mixed Tamale Pie ingredients may be frozen for baking at a later date.
