{ Exported from MasterCook Mac } Bob Scalzi's Pasta Recipe By: Bob Scalzi -- (Bette Covington) Serving Size: 6 Preparation Time: 0:00 Categories: Pasta Family & Friends Amount Measure Ingredient Preparation Method 6 italian sausage 1 pound good pasta (shells are good) olive oil chopped onion chopped garlic chopped mushrooms crushed red pepper coarse ground black pepper balsamic vinegar Take the sausages out of their skins. Break the meat up very small into a large frying pan. Put the pasta water on to boil. Cook the sausage until it is done. Drain very well. Put the pan back on a medium heat. Add some live oil, the onions, garlic, mushrooms, black pepper and the crushed red pepper. Cook until the onion is soft and transparent. Slosh some balsamic vinegar into the sausage mixture and keep cooking. When the water boils, put the pasta on to cook according to package directions. When the pasta is cooked, drain well and place in a large bowl or serving dish. Add the sausage mixture and stir well. Let it stand for awhile before serving. This will serve 6 to 8. Notes: I use hot italian sausage. It gives it a little bit of heat.
