* Exported from MasterCook * Fettuccine With Peas And Ham Recipe By : Williams-Sonoma Pasta cookbook (Linda Davis) Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Fettucine Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 tablespoons butter 1 small onion -- chopped 3 ounces ham -- cut into strips 1 cup heavy cream salt 2 1/2 cups peas 1 pound fettuccine In large pot, bring water to a boil. In a frying pan, melt butter over low heat. Add the onion and saute, stirring frequently, until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the ham and cream. Simmer, stirring frequently, for another 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and keep warm. Add the peas and pasta to the boiling water and cook until the pasta is al dente. Drain the pasta and peas and arrange them on a warm platter. Pour the cream mixture over the top and toss well. Serves 6.
