* Exported from MasterCook * Ham Stroganoff Recipe By : Freeze With Ease copyright 1965 Serving Size : 16 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Freezer Meals Pork & Ham Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 packages ( 8-0z) noodles 1 cup butter or margarine 2 cups onion -- finely chopped 4 cloves garlic -- finely chopped 24 ounces canned sliced mushrooms -- drained 4 pounds fully cooked canned ham 6 tablespoons flour 32 ounces tomato sauce 1 cup red Burgundy wine 4 cans condensed beef bouillon (10 1/2 oz) 1 teaspoon pepper 4 cups sour cream 2 cups parmesan cheese Cook noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside. Saute onion, garlic and mushrooms in butter until tender. Remove and discard gelatin and ex cess fat from ham and dice. Add to onion mixture; heat, stirring 5 minutes long er. Take from heat and stir in flour, tomato sauce, Burgundy wine, beef bouillo n and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in sour cream. Divide into suitable potions for your use and place in greased casseroles in fo llowing manner: Layer 1/3 of noodles; top with 1/3 of ham mixture; repeat layer ing twice. Freeze. To serve: defrost and sprinkle with 1 cup parmesan cheese per 8 servings. Bake, uncovered at 375 for 25 minutes. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
