                               Taco Spread

  16      ounces        Cream Cheese -- room temperature
  16      ounces        sour cream
   1      package       taco seasoning mix
                        picante sauce
     1/2  head          lettuce -- finely chopped
   2                    tomatoes -- finely chopped
                        cheddar cheese -- shredded

Mix cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth and lump free.  Mix in ta
co seasoning to taste. (we like about 1/2 packet)  add picante sauce to taste, 
mix well.  Take mixture and spread it out on a platter.  Sprinkle lettuce, toma
to and cheese over the top.  Serve with nacho chips.
