                            Dried Apple Snacks

          small         apples
                        String -- cut in lengths
                        Apple corer

Wash apples then remove the core from three or four of them using the apple cor
er.  Thread a string through each apple and tie a knot.  With the other end of 
each string, hand the apples outside in the sun to dry.  (Or apples can be hung
 from a rack in the oven.  Set the oven very low, 150 degrees.) When they are d
ried, remove the strings, slice and eat.
