* Exported from MasterCook * Hot Mulled Cider Recipe By : First - 11/11/91 Serving Size : 25 Preparation Time :0:30 Categories : Beverages Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 quarts apple cider 3/4 cup honey 4 lemon -- sliced thin 4 sticks cinnamon -- halved 2 tablespoons fresh ginger root -- minced 25 allspice berries 10 cardamom pods -- crushed 25 whole cloves 5 small apples Place cider, honey, sliced lemons, cinnamon sticks, fresh ginger, allspice berries and crushed cardamom pods in a large stock pot. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until it begins to simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to just below simmering. Place 5 cloves in each of the 5 apples.
