* Exported from MasterCook * Green Tomato Chutney II Recipe By : U15297@uicvm.uic.edu (Shyamala Parameswaran) Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Canning Salsa, Chutney, & Sauce Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 pounds green tomatoes 1/2 pound onions 1/2 pound apples 1 pint vinegar 1/2 pound demarera sugar 1/2 ounce mixed pickling spice 2 tablespoons salt Cut up tomatoes. Peel and chop apples and onions. Tie spice in muslin bag. Put all ingredients in saucepan and boil until tender and thick. Remove spice and pour into hot dry jars. Tie down.
