* Exported from MasterCook * SHIITAKE MUSHROOM GRAVY Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetarian Sauces Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 tb Sesame oil 1 1/4 c Mushrooms, shiitake -- finely -chopped 2 ts Agar-agar -- dissolved in 1 -cup boiling water 1 1/2 ts Salt 3/4 ts Black pepper In a small saucepan, brown the onions in sesame oil for 5 minutes. Stir in the mushrooms and cook an additional 3 to 4 minuts over medium heat. The mixture should be dark brown when done. Add the remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat for an additional 3 minutes till gravy thickens. Serve over rice or crepes.
