* Exported from MasterCook * Spicy Spaghetti Sauce Recipe By : Gary Baughn Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :3:00 Categories : Sauces Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 lb Lean ground beef 1 lb Hot Italian sausage -- removed - from skin 1 can Chef Boy-ar-de spaghetti sauce 19 oz Water 1 lg Onion -- chopped fine 2 cl Garlic -- chopped fine 4 oz Can sliced mushrooms -- - undrained 2 tb Italian seasoning 2 tb Spaghetti sauce seasoning Salt and pepper -- to taste 8 oz Can tomato sauce 6 oz Can tomato paste Fry sausage and onion on medium high heat. Drain and set aside. Fry beef, salt, pepper, and garlic. Drain. Return beef mixture to pan. Add sausage and onion mixture to beef mixture. Add Chef Boy-ar-de, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and some of the water with each addition, stirring well. Add the mushrooms with their liquid. Salt and pepper again. Add Italian Seasoning and Spaghetti Sauce Seasoning (both Spice Islands brand). Stir until completely mixed. Bring to a boil, then simmer at least 2 hours uncovered. The longer it cooks, the better.
