---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.04 Title: BASIC FRUIT SAUCE Categories: Sauces, Fruits/nuts, Desserts Yield: 1 servings 1 c Fruit juice 1 pn Cream of tartar 1/4 c Sugar - if juice is unsweetened 1 tb Lemon juice 2 ts Arrowroot or cornstarch 2 tb Fruit juice; cold This fruit sauce is one of the basics. It can be served on ice cream or with a pastry. COMBINE first amount of juice, cream of tartar, sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan and bring to boil. Mix arrowroot with the rest of cold fruit juice. Add to boiling juice. Cook until clear and slightly thickened. Serve hot or cold. Makes 1 1/4 Cup -----
