* Exported from MasterCook * Spaghetti Sauce Recipe By : Once A Month Cooking Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Sauces And Marinades Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound Italian sausage 3/4 cup onion -- finely chopped 6 ounces tomato paste 3 cans (15 oz) tomato sauce 1 cup water 2 cloves garlic -- chopped 2 bay leaves 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoons dried basil 1 teaspoon dried oregano 2 tablespoons fresh parsley -- chopped 2 teaspoons salt Brown the sausage with the onion and drain. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer, partly covered, for 2 hours. Simmering can be done in a crockpot, if d esired. Freeze in separate containers for use in the Cannelloni and for spaghet ti. When thawed, heat thoroughly and serve over 8 ounces cooked spaghetti. Summary of processes: Chop: 3/4 cup onion, 2 cloves garlic, 2 T parsley Freeze in: 4-cup container (for spaghetti).
