                    Grandma Aldrete's Enchilada Sauce

   1 1/2  c             crisco
     1/4  c             flour
     1/4  c             chili powder
   2      c             tomato sauce
   2      c             stock or water
   2      tbsp          sugar
   2      pinches       oregano
   2      pinches       cumin

Melt crisco.  Add flour and stir.  Mix chili powder w/ 1 c. water.  Add to
sauce mix.  Add tomato sauce and 2 c. stock or water.  Add sugar, salt &
spices.  Simmer.
