* Exported from MasterCook II * Mocha Nut Bread Recipe By : Cookin' with the Lion Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Breads - Quick Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup cocoa 1/4 cup instant coffee granules 1 1/4 cups sour cream 2 eggs -- lightly beaten 1/3 cup butter -- melted 1 6 oz pkg semisweet chocolate morsels 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl, stir well. Combine sour cream, eggs and butter in a large bowl, stir well. Add flour mixture to sour cream mixture, stirring until blended. Stir in chocolate morsels and, if desired, pecans. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake ate 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until top appears glazed and sides pull away from pan. Let cool in pan 10 minutes, remove and let cool completely on a wire rack. Yield: 1 loaf. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : This is a very delicious bread.
