---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Walnut Cheddar Apple Bread Categories: Quick, Breads Yield: 1 Loaf 1/2 c Butter; softened 1 c Light brown sugar; packed 2 Eggs 1 ts Vanilla extract 2 c All-purpose flour 2 ts Baking powder 1 ts Baking soda 1/4 ts Salt 1 c Sour cream 1/4 c Milk 4 oz Cheddar cheese; shredded 1 c Dried apples; diced 1/2 c Walnuts; coarsely chopped Preheat oven to 350°F; grease a 9x5x3" loaf pan. Beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until blended. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Add to the butter mixture on low speed alternately with the sour cream and milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition. Stir in the cheese, apples, and walnuts until blended. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack. Store tightly wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature.
