      Title: Tropical Oatmeal Cookies

      Yield: 36 servings
 
    1/2 c  White sugar
    1/2 c  Brown sugar
    1/2 c  Shortening
      1    Egg
      1 c  Crushed pineapple
  1-1/2 c  Oatmeal
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
    1/8 ts Nutmeg
    1/2 c  Nuts; chopped
      1 c  Flour; sifted
    1/2 ts Baking soda
 
     Mix all together well.  Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking
  sheet.  Bake 375° about 15 minutes.
