MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Best-Ever Fried Chicken Categories: Poultry, Herbs Yield: 4 servings 1 3/4 c A-P flour 1 tb Dried thyme 1 tb Paprika 2 ts Salt 2 ts Garlic powder 1 ts Pepper 1 lg Egg 1/3 c Milk 2 tb Lemon juice 4 lb Broiler/fryer chicken; cut - up Oil for deep-fat frying In a shallow bowl, mix the first 6 ingredients. In a separate shallow bowl, whisk egg, milk and lemon juice until blended. Dip chicken in flour mixture to coat all sides; shake off excess. Dip in egg mixture, then again in flour mixture. In an electric skillet or deep fryer, heat oil to 375°F/190°C. Fry chicken, a few pieces at a time, until skin is golden brown and juices run clear, 6-10 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.
