      Title: Deep South Baked Custard

      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      3    Eggs; slightly beaten
    1/2 c  Sugar
    1/4 ts Salt
           Nutmeg
      2 c  Milk; scalded
    1/2 ts Vanilla
 
  Combine eggs, sugar, and salt, then milk and vanilla. Strain into 1 qt
  casserole, sprinkle with nutmeg. Place in pan of hot water. Bake
  325°F until knife comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
